Here is a great quote from Derek Sivers in his book Anything You Want.
“Success comes from persistently improving and inventing, not from persistently doing what’s not working.
We all have lots of ideas, creations, and projects. When you present one to the world, and it’s not a hit, don’t keep pushing it as-is.
Instead, get back to improving and inventing.”
Is there a part of your business that doesn’t seem to be working? No matter what you do, it doesn’t seem to be getting better?
It is always difficult to determine when persistence is the answer… and when persistence is the problem.
Sometimes persistence leads to success.
Sometimes persistence leads to failure.
Derek’s advice is excellent in that he is encouraging you to improve and invent when you hit resistance in a project or creation.
Take a look at a problem area or project you are working on in your business.
Are you improving and changing it in some way?
Or doggedly sticking to your original plan… despite the fact that it isn’t working.
